Lance Nenninger

Lance Nenninger has extensive work experience in the mining and quarry industry. Lance has worked at multiple companies in various roles.

At U.S. Silica Company, Lance worked as a Senior Mine Planning Engineer, responsible for mine design, exploration drilling, and planning for multiple operations. Lance introduced and implemented Propeller surveying software across the company.

Prior to that, Lance worked at Martin Marietta, where they served as a Plant Manager. Lance managed employees and oversaw operations at a granite quarry/fractionated plant. Lance also upgraded electrical systems and relocated a primary plant for future production.

Before Martin Marietta, Lance worked at Walter Energy in different roles, including Planning Coordinator, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Preparation Plant Supervisor, and Underground Supervisor. In these positions, they managed teams, improved mining practices, and supervised daily activities.

Lance Nenninger obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Virginia Tech between 2006 and 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Lance Nenninger received a Drone - Remote Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in February 2022. Lance also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt Professional (SSBBP) certification from the Management & Strategy Institute, which they obtained in September 2021. Lance Nenninger obtained a Vent Sim certification from Chasm in February 2017, and they have Iowa Agg tech level 1 and 2 certifications from the Iowa Dot, also obtained in February 2017. Additionally, Lance Nenninger possesses Alabama Underground Mine Foreman Cards, although the institution from which they acquired them is unknown. Lance also has MSHA Underground Mining Electrical Cards from MSHA.
