Jim Sutter has extensive experience in the agricultural and international trade industries. Jim served as the CEO of the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) from December 2010 onwards, where they led efforts to promote the use of U.S. soy in various sectors and countries. In January 2022, they took on the role of Executive Chair of the Board at AgExportsUSA - U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council, where they work to increase global demand for U.S. agricultural commodities. Prior to these roles, Jim held the position of Vice President, Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain at Cargill for over 30 years.
Jim Sutter attended Colorado State University from 1976 to 1980, where they pursued a degree in Agricultural Business/Economics.

The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) focuses on differentiating, elevating preference, and attaining market access for the use of U.S. Soy for human consumption, aquaculture, and livestock feed in 80+ countries internationally. USSEC members represent the soy supply chain including U.S. Soy farmers, processors, commodity shippers, merchandisers, allied agribusinesses, and agricultural organizations.
