Judy Sanchez has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Judy began their career as an English, Writing & Humanities Teacher at Glades Day School in 1983, where they taught for seven years. In 1992, Judy transitioned to the role of Marketing Assistant at South Bay Growers, where they worked for two years. Judy then joined U.S. Sugar Corporation in 1993 as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. In this role, they were responsible for all internal and external communication programs, media and public relations activities, as well as community relations and charitable contribution programs. Judy's dedication and expertise in the field have contributed to their successful career.
Judy Sanchez began their education in 1978 at the University of Florida, where they pursued Journalism and Public Relations. Judy attended the university until 1980 but did not earn a specific degree during that time. In 1980, they transferred to Florida Atlantic University and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 1981.

U.S. Sugar is one of the nation’s largest fully integrated producers of sugar cane, one of Florida’s major producers of orange juice products, and a regional short line railroad operator. Headquartered in Clewiston, Florida the company farms more than 180,000 acres in Hendry, Glades, and Palm Beach counties and employs approximately 1,700 people including many high-skilled/wage jobs in automated environments. Produces 650,000 - 700,000 tons of cane sugar a year, providing nearly 8% of the nation’s sugar production.
