Dozie Okpalaobieri

Dozie Okpalaobieri is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, and economic policy development. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency since August 2022, Dozie provides legal advice on infrastructure projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on energy, telecom, and transportation sectors. Previous roles include Energy Sector Policy and Regulations Specialist at the African Development Bank, Senior Legal Advisor for the Power Africa Transaction and Reform Program at Nexant, and Special Adviser at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Nigeria. Dozie holds a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, an MA in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis International Business School, and a BSc in Economics from Northeastern University, complemented by a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard University and legal education at the Nigerian Law School.
