Maia Eliscovich

Head of New Business Unit at Ualá

Maia Eliscovich is the Head of New Business Unit at Ualá. Prior to this, they served as Chief of Staff, where they were responsible for the fundraising preparation, due diligence, and legal process for Series B (U$D34MM led by Goldman Sachs and Ribbit), Series B-1 (undisclosed amount by Tencent), and Series C (U$D150MM led by Tencent and Softbank). Maia also ran bi-monthly board meetings and served as primary contact with investors regarding governance, business priorities, compliance, among other topics.

Before joining Ualá, Maia worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company from July 2016 to June 2018. During their time there, they worked on various projects across a number of industries including healthcare, retail, and technology. Maia also spent a summer as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company from June 2015 to August 2015.

Prior to their work at McKinsey & Company, Maia interned at Endeavor Insight from June 2014 to August 2014. During their time there, they conducted research on the economic impact of Endeavor’s work in Latin America.

Maia Eliscovich graduated from Yale University in 2016 with a degree in Economics. During their time at Yale, they served as Vice President of the Yale College Council from May 2014 to May 2015.

Maia Eliscovich's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University and an IB Diploma in High School/Secondary Diploma Programs from Colegio Tarbut.

Maia Eliscovich reports to Pierpaolo Barbieri, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Javier Dario Martin - CIO, Manuel Franck - Chief of Staff, and Marcelo Morales Rins - CPO.
