Cheryl Weiland

Cheryl Weiland, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, serves as the Human Resources Director for the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust since May 2020. Prior to this role, Cheryl held the position of Human Resources Director at Faurecia from September 2018 to May 2020, where Cheryl was the Chief Negotiator for UAW contract negotiations involving a manufacturing facility of 2,000 employees with a revenue of $600 million. Cheryl's extensive experience includes serving as Human Resources Director for Hanon Systems from February 2013 to August 2018, overseeing HR operations across ten facilities in the Americas and managing a team of 36 HR professionals. Earlier positions include Senior Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Manager roles at Visteon Corporation and various HR Generalist roles at Ford Motor Company. Cheryl holds multiple degrees, including an MSL in Human Resources Law from Wayne State University, a Master of Science in HR and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in HR from Eastern Michigan University.
