Catalina Gonzalez is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a PhD at The University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry since January 2023. Catalina previously completed a Master of Science at The University of British Columbia from September 2020 to December 2022. Prior experience includes significant roles as a wildlife control coordinator at El Dorado International Airport, where Catalina developed and managed a Risk Management Program, and as a field biologist at multiple organizations, including SELVA and Klamath Bird Observatory, focusing on bird monitoring and migration studies. Educational background includes a Biologist degree from Universidad del Tolima, attained between 2004 and 2009.
