Omar Mologni

Omar Mologni is an accomplished research professional in the field of forest operations, currently serving as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry since April 2019. Mologni's expertise is demonstrated through diverse research projects, including the digitalization of timber harvesting performance monitoring and the development of safer harvesting techniques for steep terrain. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Research Fellow at FPInnovations, where initiatives focused on increasing safety in forest operations, and Technical Director at CONAIBO, overseeing technical management and international research partnerships. Mologni holds a PhD in Forest Engineering, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Forest and Environmental Sciences from Università degli Studi di Padova.
