Akhila Vasan holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s degree in the same field from Oklahoma State University. They have extensive experience in food safety and research, having worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and later as a PhD Researcher, where they supported the US food industry and government regulations. Currently a Senior Program Manager for Delivery Safety at Uber, Akhila has also contributed to food safety initiatives globally through various roles, including as a Global Program Manager and Lead Member Engagement. Their expertise encompasses stakeholder collaboration, educational outreach, and the development of impactful solutions for industry challenges.
