Kavya Sambana is a seasoned professional in product management with extensive experience in navigation and safety for autonomous vehicles. Currently at Uber as a Product Manager focusing on Navigation, Kavya previously served as Map Safety Lead at Cruise Automation, where responsibilities included leading strategies for HD map safety and validation. Prior experience includes roles at Iteris, Inc. as an Analytics Consultant managing transportation performance products and at RK&K Engineers, LLP as a Transportation Engineer providing analytical support for safety projects. Kavya began the career as an Engineer at AI Engineers and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, where a large relational database model for an enterprise GIS system was developed. Educational background includes a Master's in Transportation Engineering from Virginia Tech and a BE in Civil Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
