Eckart Burgwedel has a long history of work experience in the tech industry. In 2022, they became the Lead Mentor for Ankra (Techstars '22), a platform that enables development efficiency, reduces costs, and bolsters security and insight into cloud infrastructure. Eckart also became a Mentor for Techstars the same year. In 2019, they became an Entrepreneur In Residence for Ampolon Ventures, where they worked on building an e-health company to support caregiving families. In 2018, they were a Mentor for the Founder Institute and a Founder & Researcher for Skillstack, a decentralized platform addressing the future of work. In 2014, they became the Co-Founder & CEO/CPO of Uberchord, a mobile music teacher, and the Strategic Advisor & Deputy Project Lead for SBB, a high impact software platform in the Swiss digital payment and loyalty market. In 2013, they became the Co-Founder, Investor & Advisor and Co-Founder & COO/Head of Product for dizmo inc, a next generation integration platform in the IOT space. In 2007, they were the Senior Project/Product Manager, Strategy Lead & Consultant for futureLAB AG, a boutique consultancy and development firm. Finally, in 2000, they were the Founder & CEO of Imprint Digital Foto GmbH & Co. KG, a professional photographic lab.

Eckart Burgwedel's education history includes four degrees. From 1993 to 1996, they attended Universität Greifswald and obtained a Law degree in Law. From 1996 to 1998, they attended Kiel University and obtained a State Exam in Law. From 1998 to 1999, they attended University of Cape Town and obtained an LLM in Business and Tax Law. From 1999 to 2000, they attended Stellenbosch University and obtained an LLM in International Trade Law.
