Richard Goldstein is a Board Member at Ubicquia. Richard was previously the Director of End User Client Computing Software at Dell, a position they held from May 1996 to April 2017.
Under Richard's leadership, the team at Dell shifted to value-add software and services. Richard drove process standardization through the development of Business Strategy Teams and Software Domain Sourcing Strategies. These included KPI development, financial modeling, competitive and trend analyses, monetization models, strategic partner identification and development, and management of strategic supplier relationships. The team Richard managed oversaw over $1B in lifetime software contract deals.
Richard reorganised team roles and responsibilities to increase ownership and accountability for managing software domains across all of Dell. This included the formation of cross-functional software Business Strategy Teams that proactively managed product roadmaps and resources within an aggregate product plan that comprehended all lifecycle phases and functional areas required to deliver software products.
The team Richard led was on track to deliver committed business targets, including doubling the number of documented Sourcing Strategies, running Quarterly Business Reviews with 6 additional suppliers, developing processes to standardize regional partner contracts, and maintaining software monetization levels in face of a new Operating System that inherently reduces those opportunities.
Richard Goldstein attended Yale University for their BA in economics and then went on to Stanford University Graduate School of Business for their MBA.
