Raymund Julag-Ay

Raymund 'BONG' Julag-ay, CISM, CCSFP has a significant amount of work experience in the field of information security and technology. Raymund 'BONG' is currently the VP and Head of Information Security at Ubiquity, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to joining Ubiquity, Julag-ay worked at Shearwater Health as the Senior Vice-President for Information Security, Business Continuity, and Compliance | DPO from November 2022 to August 2023. Raymund 'BONG' also served as the VP and Head of Information Security, & Business Continuity | DPO from April 2019 to October 2022, and as the Senior Director for Information Security from May 2016 to March 2019.

Before joining Shearwater Health, Julag-ay worked as the Deputy Head - Global Network Operations Center at Carlson Wagonlit Travel from July 2014 to May 2015. Raymund 'BONG' also held the position of Ass't. Vice President - Enterprise Technology Operations at EXL Service from April 2008 to July 2014. Prior to that, they were the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at eData Services US, L.L.C. from October 2004 to April 2008. Julag-ay has also worked as an IT Consultant at Top American Products Solution, Inc. from June 2005 to March 2008 and at Mailstation Net from February 1998 to February 2000.

In the earlier stages of their career, Julag-ay worked at the Asian Institute of Management, where they held various roles including Information and Communications Technology Manager from January 2000 to September 2004, Systems Administrator from July 1996 to December 1999, and Systems Analyst / Programmer from June 1995 to June 1996.

Raymund 'BONG' Julag-ay, CISM, CCSFP has a diverse education history. In 1989, they began their studies at the Technological University of the Philippines - Visayas, where they obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1995 and a Diploma in Electronics and Communications Technology in 1992. Later, in 1997, they pursued Executive Education - BMP at the Asian Institute of Management. Additionally, they attended the Asian Institute of Management again in 2002 and 2003, completing an Executive Master of Business Administration with a focus on Corporate Change.

Throughout their career, Julag-ay has also acquired various certifications. Raymund 'BONG' became a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) through ISACA in July 2017 and a HITRUST Certified CSF Practitioner (CCSFP) through HITRUST in December 2019. In May 2020, they obtained the Data Protection Officer (DPO) certification from TÜV Rheinland. Raymund 'BONG' expanded their expertise with the Certified Metaverse Security Consultant certification from the Identity Management Institute in November 2022. Additionally, they earned the CPISI (Certified Payment Card Industry Security Implementer) PCI-DSS V4.0 certification from SISA Information Security in August 2023. Finally, they gained the SolarWinds Certified Professional certification in May 2015 and the ITIL V3 certification from APMG-International in March 2011.
