Chris Shannon

Chris Shannon has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Chris currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ubisense since 2023. In their previous role, they worked as the Group CEO and CEO of Fotech Group from 2011 to 2023. During their time at Fotech, the company was acquired by BP Launchpad and focused on developing and deploying advanced fibre optic sensing technology. Before that, Chris was the CEO of Quantasol Ltd, a company specializing in high-efficiency III-V based solar cells, from 2009 to 2011. Chris also held executive positions at Laird Technologies, Ezurio Ltd, Insensys Ltd, MPower Microwave Ltd, Indigo Photonics Ltd, JDS Uniphase, and SDL Inc.

Chris Shannon completed their BSc in Physics at Brunel University London from 1983 to 1987. Chris then pursued an MBA in Business at Henley Business School from 1989 to 1991.
