YC Liao (Yu-Chian Liao) has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. YC Liao started their career as a Software Engineer at the Institute for Information Industry in 2003 and worked there until 2005. During this time, they focused on multimedia-related projects, including 3D and 2D graphics.
In 2006, YC Liao became a Project Leader at the Institute for Information Industry, where their main focus was on multimedia projects, particularly designing a 3D man-machine interface project for handheld devices using the in-house mobile 3D rendering library. YC Liao stayed in this role until 2007.
In 2008, YC Liao joined Foxconn as a New Products Senior Specialist. In this role, they defined phone specifications in terms of hardware and software and managed project development and manufacturing schedules. YC Liao worked at Foxconn until mid-2009.
Later in 2009, YC Liao joined Ubitus as a Senior Project Manager. YC Liao was responsible for managing cloud video transcoding and cloud gaming projects, including requirements, development, and delivery. YC Liao held this role until 2014.
In 2014, YC Liao was promoted to Director of Product and Project Manager at Ubitus. YC Liao led a team of project managers and managed projects in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. YC Liao continued in this position until mid-2020.
Most recently, YC Liao held the position of Vice President of Product and Project Manager at Ubitus starting in July 2020. In this role, they led the project manager team and managed projects across Asia, Europe, and the US.
YC Liao (Yu-Chian Liao) pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Tamkang University from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering from National Cheng Kung University from 2000 to 2002.
