Mike Dargan became a member of the GEB and was appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) of UBS Group AG and UBS AG effective 1 May 2021. The CDIO organization comprises the Group Technology teams as well as Group Corporate Services. He also became President of the Executive Board of UBS Business Solution AG on the same date. Mr. Dargan has been Head Group Technology since he joined UBS from Standard Chartered Bank in 2016. During his time with Standard Chartered Bank he held following senior positions: Chief Information Officer for Corporate and Institutional Banking (2015-2016), Global Group Technology and Operations Head for Global Markets, Wealth Management, Private Banking and Securities Services, Group Technology and Operations Engineering (2014-2015), Chief Information Officer, Financial Markets (2013-2014) and Global Head of Strategy and Corporate M&A, Global Markets (2009-2013). Prior to that, he was Head Corporate Strategy & M&A, EMEA and Pacific Rim for Merrill Lynch and Head Corporate and Institutional Banking, Asia-Pacific for Oliver Wyman. Mr. Dargan holds a masters’s degree in politics, philosophy and economics from St. John’s College, Oxford University.
