Seema Desai

Seema Desai is an experienced director at UBS since June 2014, specializing in macroeconomics and country risk analysis for Asian emerging markets and European credits. Desai focuses on climate change and country risk by developing tools to incorporate physical and transition risks into sovereign analyses. Prior roles include serving as an advisor at Teneo Intelligence and participating in the Asia practice at Eurasia Group, where comprehensive research and analysis were provided to corporate clients and government agencies. Desai's earlier experiences include consulting at Oxford Analytica, serving as an Asia economist at Schroders analyzing Southeast Asia, and working as an economist at CLSA. Desai holds a B.Sc. in International Economics from The London School of Economics and a Master's in Economics from the University of Oxford.
