Areli Kovalevskij

Areli Kovalevskij is an experienced educator and coach currently serving as the Head Coach of the Dance Team at the University of California, Berkeley, where responsibilities include training, choreography, and program development. Areli has taught Transitional Kindergarten at West Contra Costa Unified School District since 2015, focusing on developmentally appropriate practices. Previous experience includes professional dance roles with the Golden State Warriors and as a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers and UCLA. Areli's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from UCLA, an Urban Education Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University, and continuous professional development in personal training, yoga, and physical education, with ongoing studies for a Master's degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Emporia State University.
