David Teece

David Teece is a distinguished scholar in strategy and innovation currently serving at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business since December 2024. With a long-standing tenure at the University of California, Berkeley, Teece holds multiple prominent positions, including Director of the Tusher Center for the Management of Intellectual Capital and Professor of Business Administration at the Haas School of Business. Teece is also a General Partner at Pilatus Capital and the Executive Director of the Berkeley Policy Institute, alongside serving as Executive Chairman of Berkeley Research Group LLC, which is recognized for its expert services in consulting and litigation support. Teece has contributed to academic leadership as the Director of the Institute for Business Innovation and the Center for Global Strategy and Governance at UC Berkeley. Teece holds a PhD and Master of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Commerce from the University of Canterbury.
