Julia Slane

Bioengineering Mentor Program- President at UC Berkeley

Julia Slane is an experienced leader and undergraduate researcher currently serving as the President of the Bioengineering Mentor Program at the University of California, Berkeley. Julia oversees a team promoting educational opportunities for bioengineering students while also conducting research in the Conboy Lab on DNA sequencing fidelity. Julia's leadership extends to serving as President of Delta Gamma, managing over 160 members, and previously held the role of Assistant Program Director at the Lair of the Golden Bear, where Julia managed camp operations and staff. Additional experience includes medical interpreting for the Volunteer Health Interpreters Organization and previous lifeguarding roles at various aquatic facilities. Julia is pursuing a degree at UC Berkeley, building a diverse skill set in leadership, research, and community service.
