Lisa García Bedolla

Lisa Garcia Bedolla currently holds the positions of Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Dean of the Graduate Division, Chancellor's Professor at the Berkeley School of Education, and Director of the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where employment commenced in July 2017. Previously, Lisa served as a Professor and Associate Professor in the Berkeley School of Education and the Graduate School of Education, and as Chair of the Center for Latino Policy Research, starting in July 2008. Lisa's prior academic appointments include roles at UC Irvine, UCLA, and California State University, Long Beach. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University and a BA in Latin American Studies and Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
