Sean Lyon is a dedicated ornithologist and researcher with extensive experience in behavioral ecology, particularly focusing on Southern Ground-Hornbills in Mozambique. Currently serving as a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow for Portuguese at the University of California, Berkeley and an ornithologist at the University of California, Merced, Sean has a strong foundation in specimen preparation and digitization through roles at institutions such as the Moore Laboratory of Zoology and the Field Museum. In addition to leading custom birding tours as the founder of Bird Walks with Sean, Sean's academic journey culminates in ongoing doctoral studies in Quantitative and Systems Biology.
