Jae Yong Suk

Jae Yong Suk, Ph.D., IES, E.IALD, LEED AP, currently serves as Faculty Co-Director at the California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Design at the University of California, Davis, where involvement also includes an Affiliated Faculty position in the Energy Graduate Group. Previous roles include Associate Professor and Architecture Program Leader at The University of Texas at San Antonio, along with extensive experience as a Daylighting Specialist and Senior Designer at HLB Lighting Design. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Architecture and a Master of Building Science from the University of Southern California, as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from Ajou University. Research work focused on daylight glare evaluation methodologies and IP-based network building monitoring systems, contributing to advancements in building performance and lighting technologies.
