Jothi Periasamy

Jothi Periasamy is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in education, product management, and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as Board Member, Chief Data Scientist, and Lead Instructor at the University of California, Davis, Jothi is developing an advanced learning program in data science and analytics. Concurrently, Jothi holds the position of GEN AI Product Manager and Chief Data Scientist at the California Department of Motor Vehicles, focusing on integrating AI technologies into services. As an IBM Champion for ml Z and GEN AI Research & Product Development, support is provided to product teams in developing explainable and fair AI solutions. In previous roles, Jothi has taught at UCSC and MIT Sloan School of Management, led applied AI initiatives at Harvard University, and held key architect positions at KPMG, EY, and Deloitte. Educational qualifications include degrees from Stanford University and the University of California, Davis, with early studies at the College of Engineering, Guindy.
