Peter Brantley is an accomplished professional in digital strategy and library services, currently serving as the Director of Online Strategy at UC Davis Library since May 2015. Brantley leads digital strategy and operations to enhance access to knowledge and the scholarly record. In addition, Brantley is an advisory board member for the Collaborative Knowledge Foundation and the Rebus Foundation, both focused on innovative publishing technologies. Previous roles include advisor positions with the American Geophysical Union and the steering committee member for RA21, improving access to restricted content. Brantley has also held significant editorial roles at Publishers Weekly and served as Associate Content Director for The ARTS+ at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Academic credentials include an ABD in Sociology from the University of Arizona, an M.A. from Stony Brook University, and a B.A. from Trinity University.
