Sameerah Helal

Sameerah Helal is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Davis since September 2022 and served as a Teaching Assistant in the College of Engineering from April 2024 to June 2024. Previous roles include Computer Science Instructor at Juni Learning, where Sameerah taught Python and Data Science to students aged 8 to 18, and various positions within UC Davis as an Undergraduate Research Assistant focused on machine learning and data science, Mathematics Grader, and Learning Assistant. As Awards Director for Aggies Helping Aggies, responsibilities included evaluating emergency funding applications, while as a Business Analyst Intern at the Aggie Reuse Store, Sameerah developed KPI-based business practices. Additional experience includes co-leading the Machine Learning Division at Space and Satellite Systems and serving as a Mathematics Supplemental Instructor at Mission College. Sameerah is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at UC Davis, with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and an Associate of Science in Mathematics from Mission College.
