Chandra Broadwater

Chandra Broadwater, MPH, MFA, CPHQ, currently serves as System Director of Quality, Patient Safety, and Transformation at UCI Health since August 2022. Prior to this role, Broadwater held various positions at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles from May 2010 to August 2022, including Executive Director of Patient Safety and Operational Excellence, and Director of Patient Safety and Operational Excellence. Earlier professional experience includes roles as Staff Writer at Tampa Bay Times from January 2006 to May 2010, and at The Charleston Gazette from 2002 to 2005, where award-winning stories were produced on education and local issues. Chandra Broadwater's academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from UCLA, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College, and dual bachelor's degrees in English and Journalism from West Virginia University.
