Patrick Chen

Patrick Chen, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UCI Health since July 2022, serving as Director of the Neurology Traumatic Brain Injury & Concussion Program and Associate Program Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship. In this role, Patrick is involved as clinical faculty in the Department of Neurology and attends to Neurocritical care, TBI, and Neurohospitalist Services while also consulting for UCI Athletics. Prior experience includes a Neurocritical Care Fellowship at Mass General Brigham from June 2020 to July 2022, where Patrick developed expertise in multimodal neuromonitoring and acute stroke neurology. Previous positions encompass Chief Resident and Neurology Resident at UC San Diego Health from 2017 to June 2020, and an Internal Medicine Preliminary Internship at Legacy Health in 2016. Educational credentials include a Clinical Fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, complemented by an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.
