Currently serving as Controller and Associate Vice Chancellor for Business and Financial Services at UC San Diego since May 2015, Cheryl oversees multiple divisions, ensuring sound accounting practices and internal controls. Previous roles include Head of Special Projects in Global Financial Operations and VP of Student Financial Services at Columbia University, where Cheryl managed substantial financial aid disbursements and compliance. Cheryl's career also includes significant positions at Mayo Clinic, where responsibilities included internal audits and foundation accounting, as well as earlier roles at Washington National Insurance, First Chicago, and KPMG. Cheryl holds an MS in Management and a BS in Psychology from Purdue University.
