Joel Ackerman

Joel Ackerman is a seasoned Producer, Videographer, and Photographer with extensive experience across various prestigious organizations. Currently at UC San Diego since May 2019, Joel focuses on producing and editing marketing content and graduate education courses related to intellectual capital and technology. Previously, Joel worked with Discovery Inc on the series Gold Rush White Water, Bellum Entertainment on Act of God, BBC Worldwide on Million Dollar Car Hunters, and National Geographic on Southern Justice. Joel's earlier work includes creating documentaries for the Wounded Warrior Project and managing production at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Joel Ackerman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and Film from the University of Michigan, spent time as a visiting student in Psychology at Columbia University, and completed a Micro MBA in Business Administration and Management at the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management.
