Joseph Ford

Joseph Ford is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in photonics and optical engineering. As a Professor Emeritus at the University of California San Diego since December 2002, Joseph leads the Photonics Systems Integration Lab. Prior to this role, Joseph served as Chief Scientist at Optical Micro Machines and held the position of Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies from March 1994 to March 2000, contributing to advancements in the Advanced Photonics Research Department. Joseph Ford holds a PhD in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego, as well as multiple degrees in Optical Engineering and Physics from leading institutions, including the University of Rochester, The University of British Columbia, and UCLA.
