Ted Johnson is a seasoned professional in supply chain management and procurement, currently serving as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Residential Retail and Supply Chain Services at UC San Diego since July 2006. Previously, Ted held multiple senior roles at UC San Diego, including Associate Controller for Integrated Supply Chain and Executive Director. Ted's prior experience includes serving as the Director of Global Integrated Supply Chain at Sony Corporation of America, where responsibilities included integrating supply chains across various marketing divisions. Additionally, Ted was the Director of Procurement at Hitachi Home Electronics of America, overseeing significant material purchases for production in North America and subcontracting in Asia and Latin America. Ted holds a Master's degree in International Business Management from the University of Tsukuba and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Japanese from UC Santa Barbara.
