Vineet Bafna

Vineet Bafna is a seasoned academic and researcher in the field of computer science and engineering, currently serving as a Professor at UCSD since 2003. Prior to this role, Vineet Bafna held the position of Director of Informatics Research at Celera Genomics from 1999 to 2002 and worked as a Senior Investigator at SmithKline Beecham from 1996 to 1999. Vineet Bafna earned a PhD in Computer Science from Penn State University between 1989 and 1994 and completed a B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 1985 to 1989.
