Yufei Yu

Yufei (Grace) Yu is a Bioinformatics and System Biology PhD student at UC San Diego since September 2022, specializing in the biomedical informatics track. Currently serving as a Project Facilitator for the NIH RADx Program at VentureWell, Yufei supports internal bioinformatics efforts within the initiative focused on rapid diagnostics. Previous experience includes an undergraduate researcher role at Case Western Reserve University under Dr. Jing Li, and a research finance assistant position in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the same institution. Yufei began academic research as a student research assistant at UC Irvine under Dr. Diane O’Dowd, and also worked as a summer camp counselor at the Chinese Youth Center from 2015 to 2017. Yufei holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University and graduated from University High School in Irvine in 2018.
