Alexis Enstrom

Alexis Enstrom is currently a Graduate Student Researcher in the Kelley Lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz, focusing on evolutionary and functional genomics and adaptations to extreme environments. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate in Antibody Engineering and Technology Development at GigaGen Inc, and as an Undergraduate Biomedical Researcher at Santa Clara University, where work involved designing and optimizing 3D printed micro-needles and running fluid dynamics simulations. Additionally, Alexis contributed as a Student Ambassador for the Cultured Meat Symposium, designing infographics on the environmental impact of cultured meat, and as a Youth Ocean Advocate at the Seattle Aquarium, engaging visitors about marine science and conservation. Alexis holds a Bachelor's of Science in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University and is pursuing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
