Sayan Seal

Sayan Seal is a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, since 2021. Previously, Sayan was a DAAD WISE Summer Research Scholar at Ruhr University Bochum, where a project focused on applying machine learning and deep learning algorithms in multi-label image classification. In addition, Sayan completed a Summer Research Internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, which involved predicting the mechanical properties of hot rolled steel coils using machine learning techniques. Sayan holds an MS/PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. Early education includes completion of 12th and 10th grade at South Point High School in Kolkata.
