Jeffrey Weekley

Jeffrey Weekley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research information technology and community engagement. Since September 2019, Jeffrey has served as the Director of Research IT at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where responsibilities include consulting with faculty and staff to provide essential Research IT services. Previous roles include Director of Cyberinfrastructure and Research Computing at UC Merced and Science and Education Outreach Director for the Research & Education Advanced Network of New Zealand. Jeffrey has also contributed to local governance as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Marina and has volunteered as a Docent Guide at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computational Media from UC Santa Cruz and a MOVES degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School.
