Vijaya Kumar Kuppan

Vijaya Kumar Kuppan has a rich and diverse work experience spanning over several years. Vijaya Kumar is currently the Chief Procurement Officer at UCAL Fuel Systems Ltd, where they are focused on transforming procurement, sourcing, vendor development, new product development, and inventory management across group companies to improve cost, delivery, and quality efficiencies. Previously, they served as the General Manager and Head of the Purchasing Department at Rane Group from 2017 to 2022 and as the Head of Purchasing at Mando India Steering Systems Pvt Ltd from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they held the position of Deputy General Manager at Anand Automotive Ltd (Group HQ) from 2012 to 2017, where they played a key role in driving supplier development programs and implementing operational excellence. Vijaya Kumar Kuppan also has experience working as an intern at LiteOnmobile and held managerial roles at Murugappa Group, wheels india limited, and Royal Enfield earlier in their career. Additionally, they pursued the Student of PGPEX VLM program at Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and participated in an international immersion program in Japan.

Vijaya Kumar Kuppan started their education by earning a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras in 2002. Vijaya Kumar then pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Pondicherry University from 2003 to 2005. In 2010, they participated in a Six Sigma Green Belt Program at the Indian Statistical Institute in Chennai. Later, in 2011, they completed a PGPEX VLM program in Manufacturing at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Additionally, they obtained a Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 standards from BVQI in 2011.
