Jeff Blythe

Associate Vice President at UCAN (Chicago)

Jeff Blythe has a strong background in the field of child welfare and residential treatment services. Jeff has held several leadership roles throughout their career, starting in 1994 as the Residential Services Administrator at Pleasant Run Children's Home, where they managed the operations of a residential treatment facility and group home program. In 2000, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Alternative Behavioral Treatment Centers, overseeing the operations of a residential treatment program for juvenile sexual offenders. Then, in 2002, they took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Lawrence Hall Youth Services, where they were responsible for the day-to-day operations and administrative oversight of a comprehensive continuum of care for at-risk youth and families. Currently, Jeff holds the position of Associate Vice President at UCAN in Chicago, which they started in 2014.

Jeff Blythe obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) from the University of Kentucky, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Jeff then pursued further education at the University of Louisville, where they obtained a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a specialization in Clinical Social Work from 1989 to 1990.

In addition to their formal education, Jeff has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1998, they completed the Executive Leadership Excellence program at The Walt Disney Institute. In 2008, they obtained a certification in Non-Profit Management from the Alliance for Children and Families. In 2011, they became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Furthermore, in 2013, they completed the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention program offered by Cornell University. Their most recent certification is in CPR/First Aid, which they obtained from the American Red Cross in January 2014.
