Imran Ali

Senior Scientist

Imran Ali is a Senior Scientist with extensive experience in small-molecule drug discovery, particularly in the fields of immuno-oncology and hepatitis B treatment. Currently employed at UCB since October 2022, Imran previously worked at TXINNO Bioscience INC from October 2020 to September 2022, focusing on drug targets related to immuno-oncology. Imran's earlier role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology involved developing small molecule capsid modulators for hepatitis B and targeting TRL7/8 proteins for vaccine adjuvants. Imran also held the position of Graduate Research Fellow, contributing to research on Pellino-1 PPI inhibitors and BET bromodomain inhibitors for various diseases. Imran holds a PhD in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology, Korea, and a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from COMSATS University Islamabad.
