Theodore Sagun

Theodore Sagun is an experienced educator with a focus on mathematics instruction. Currently serving as the Director of Mathematics Instruction and Learning at UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies since July 2014, Theodore supports elementary and secondary teachers through Cognitively Guided Instruction and inquiry-based approaches. Previous roles include Mathematics Coach and Associate Director of Secondary Mathematics at UCLA Center X, part-time lecturer at Whittier College, and Mathematics Instructional Specialist at Whittier City School District. Theodore holds an Ed.D in Teacher Education in Multicultural Societies from the University of Southern California, along with two Master's degrees in Education, Teaching of Mathematics from Stanford University, and a BA in Mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles.
