Erin Sanders O’Leary

Vice Provost, Teaching & Learning at UCLA

Erin Sanders O’Leary currently serves as the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning at UCLA, beginning in August 2023. Prior to this role, Erin held multiple positions at the University of Illinois Chicago from July 2020 to August 2023, including Associate Professor in Biological Sciences and Executive Director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching Excellence. Erin's extensive experience at UCLA from 2005 to 2020 includes directing the Center for Education Innovation & Learning in the Sciences (CEILS) and various academic roles focused on STEM education and curriculum development. Erin earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a BS in Chemistry from DePaul University.
