Carlotta Gherardi has a diverse work experience that spans across different industries. Carlotta began their professional journey in 2022 as a Director of Data Science at UConsulting. In this role, they managed and analyzed student application data to streamline member recruitment, as well as conducted workshops on SQL, Excel, Tableau, and survey design for club members.

Following this, Carlotta worked as an Undergraduate Consultant at UConsulting, where they worked on two separate cases. In the first case, they forecasted in-store demand and optimized inventory composition based on online sales data for UNIQLO California LLC. In the second case, they played a pivotal role in facilitating the merger and acquisition of a food distribution company valued at $20,000,000 by crafting investor materials, networking, and coordinating meetings.

Prior to these roles, Carlotta interned at a local primary and emergency care clinic, where they analyzed market reports, conducted market research, and devised a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance customer acquisition and retention rates. Carlotta also completed a 7-week intensive training program that honed their consulting skills.

In 2023, Carlotta furthered their expertise by working as a Data Science Intern at Candidly and a Data Analytics Intern at Pax8. Additionally, they participated in the New Seekers Summit at Two Sigma to gain insights into quantitative research work.

Carlotta Gherardi completed their high school education at the International School of Bologna from 2018 to 2021, where they obtained their International Baccalaureate degree. Carlotta then attended UCLA from 2021 to 2025, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Statistics & Data Science. Additionally, in 2022, Carlotta briefly studied Health Data Science and Data Analytics in Healthcare at UCL. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in August 2018 and a 1st Degree Show Jumping License from the Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri in May 2018.
