Kameswari "Kamu" Potharaju is a dedicated research professional with extensive experience in pediatric healthcare and public health. Currently a Research Assistant at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Kamu conducts a retrospective chart study on thrombosis risk factors in pediatric oncology patients. Prior roles include a Post-Baccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and involvement in COVID-19 misinformation research at the UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations. Kamu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley and is pursuing a Master of Science in Health & Medical Sciences and a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of California, San Francisco. Additional leadership experience includes coordinating field study internships and engaging in community health initiatives through roles with various organizations.
