Darlene A. Smith has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in training and education. Darlene A. started their career as a Senior Learning Consultant at Banc of America Securities, where they developed and presented training programs and interventions. Darlene A. also worked as a Technical Trainer at Technisource/Kaiser Permanente before joining Creative Memories as a Consultant, where they helped clients create albums to showcase their lives. Darlene then joined Kaiser Permanente as a Senior Learning Consultant, responsible for assessing and analyzing learning needs and designing training courses. Darlene A. also served as an Instructional Designer during their time at Kaiser Permanente. Later, they joined the University of California, San Francisco as a Credentialed Educator before joining UCSF Medical Center as an EPIC Principal Trainer. Throughout their career, Darlene has consistently demonstrated strong facilitation skills and classroom management techniques to effectively engage diverse audiences with varying learning needs.

Darlene A. Smith attended Contra Costa Regional Occupation Program in 2010, where they studied Web Design and Development. Prior to that, they completed an ADT/Prelude Certification in ADT, Home Health, and Ambulatory through EPIC Systems Certification in 2007. In 2004, they obtained an EPICare Proficiency from EPIC Systems. Darlene also has a background in Theatre Arts from UC San Diego, where they focused on Lighting, Set & Sound Design, and Biology. Additionally, they received a Microsoft Application Instructor Certification from the Microsoft Training Center, specializing in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
