David Tian

Assistant Clinical Professor, Internal Medicine at UCSF Medical Center

David Tian serves as the Branch Chief of Clinical Population Health Care Management and Medical Consultant at the California Department of Health Care Services, focusing on improving health outcomes for Medi-Cal enrollees, particularly in behavioral health and population health management. As an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF Medical Center, David teaches students and residents while also serving as Site Director for the UCSF Addiction Medicine Fellowship. David has previously held significant roles at Alameda Health System, including Division Chief of Primary Care and founding Medical Director of the Buprenorphine Induction Clinic. Additionally, David completed the CHCF Health Care Leadership Fellowship, enhancing leadership skills aimed at advancing California’s health care.
