UEFA Security Officer at UEFA

Chris van de Poll has extensive work experience in the field of safety and security, particularly in the sports industry. Chris'smost recent role is as a UEFA security officer, which they started in September 2022. Before that, they worked for KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association) in various roles, including safety and security officer for KNVB events. Chris also served as a policy advisor for match organization in professional football, where they developed, implemented, and evaluated strategies for safe and accessible competitions. Additionally, Chris has experience in safety and security matters, particularly as the domain leader for the Europa League Final in 2013. Chris has also worked as a project manager for safety, security, and service during UEFA EURO 2020 Amsterdam. In 2017, they were the safety and security manager for Women's EURO 2017, responsible for ensuring a safe and hospitable tournament across multiple cities and stadiums. Earlier in their career, Chris held positions as a project leader for safety at Stadion Feijenoord and as a head of business office and project leader at Sport & Event Security.

Chris van de Poll attended HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 2002 to 2006. Chris studied Integrale veiligheidskunde during this time.
