Helena Andersson is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Medicine at Umeå universitet since February 2022, bringing extensive experience as a consultant for UEFA and FIFA. Prior roles include Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Sport Sciences at The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, and Sport Scientist/Fitness Coach for the Swedish Women's National Team at The Swedish Football Association. Helena has a strong background in sports physiology education for youth national teams and has held fitness coaching positions with both the US Soccer Association and the Chinese Football Association. Helena earned a PhD in Sport Science from Örebro University, complemented by a Master of Applied Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from Griffith University.
