Julien Thorens

Julien Thorens has a diverse work experience in media and public relations. Julien is currently working as a Media & PR Officer at UEFA since April 2022. Before this, they worked at RTS - Radio Télévision Suisse from October 2015 to March 2022. At RTS, they held the role of Journalist RP and was responsible for TV presentations, live sports commentary, athlete interviews, as well as special coverage of events like the Olympics, Tour de France, and Wimbledon. Julien also worked as a Journalist intern at RTS from October 2015 to September 2017. Additionally, they had a brief internship with the Department of Infrastructure at the State of Geneva in February 2019.

Julien Thorens has a diverse education history. In 2012, they obtained the Goethe-Zertifikat C1 from the Goethe-Institut e.V. Julien also obtained the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) C1 in December 2011 from the Cambridge English Language Assessment.

From 2012 to 2015, Julien pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Geneva. During this time, they also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at the University of Vienna for the academic year 2014-2015.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Julien attended the Centre de formation au journalisme et aux médias from 2015 to 2017, earning a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Management and Public Administration at the University of Geneva from 2017 to 2019.

Most recently, Julien enrolled in the HEG and completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Communication Management from 2022 to 2023, specializing in Responsible Communication.
