Levan Kobiashvili

Executive Committee Member at UEFA

Levan Kobiashvili was capped 100 times by Georgia, scoring 12 goals and captaining the national team on 16 occasions. Equally adept playing as a left wing-back or winger, Kobiashvili played for Gorda Rustavi, then Dinamo Tbilisi in his home country, before spending 16 successful years in Germany with Freiburg, Schalke and Hertha Berlin. He was elected as Georgia's footballer of the year in 2000, 2005 and 2011.

After retiring in 2014, Kobiashvili was elected president of the Georgian Football Federation (GFF) in October 2015. He was a member of the UEFA National Associations Committee from 2016 to 2019, and has served as chair of the UEFA Football Committee since 2019.
